Cotton Acid Wash
100% cotton that has been pre-washed or acid-wash to reduce shrinkage and create a soft, deep, lightweight, and breathable fabric. Ideal for hot weather, it's comfortable to wear and non-irritating. However, it may wrinkle more easily and fade faster than normal. Care involves normal machine washing.
Special properties of the fabric
Acid Wash Cotton fabric is softened from the first touch, making it comfortable to wear, not stiff, and highly breathable and sweat-wicking, ideal for hot weather. The bleaching process also reduces shrinkage, resulting in more stable garment size while maintaining the durability of the natural fibers.
Disadvantages of this type of fabric
Acid Wash Cotton can wrinkle easily, fade faster than unbleached cotton, and if not bleached properly, it's prone to color bleeding onto other garments. It can also pill over time. Furthermore, it's generally more expensive than regular cotton or blended cotton.
How to care for fabrics.
Can be machine washed or hand washed as usual, but wash separately from delicate fabrics to prevent color bleeding. Dry in the shade or in mild sunlight, and avoid very hot water or harsh bleach to prolong its lifespan.
